Portfolio 1 - Raku
Each pot is hand built and unique. The Raku process involves plunging the red hot pot into sawdust. The end results can be varied and often unexpected. The crackle in the glaze and some of the irregular effects are all part of this unusual process. Naked Raku uses slip to act as a resist to the glaze and after cleaning, a wax finish is applied.
